TAT’s “7 Wonders of Amazing Thailand” TV Commercial
TAT’s "7 Wonders of Amazing Thailand" introduces to international audiences the seven “Wonders” of the Thai kingdom — Thai-ness, Treasures, Beaches, Nature, Wellness, Trends, and Festivals.

The concept of the TVC is to show to the world that Thailand is eager and ready to welcome visitors to this beautiful Land of Smiles. Due to a limited time, only four of the seven ‘Wonders’ are featured — Thai-ness, Nature, Treasures and Festivals.

The 60-second commercial highlights the immense beauty of Thailand’s best attractions, incorporating the artistic aspects of the culture that is uniquely Thai.

Synopsis and Storyline
The four “Wonders” of the Thai kingdom (Thai-ness, Nature, Treasures and Festivals) are presented by two famous Thai mythical characters: a Yak (a giant) and a Kinnaree (a bird with a human head). These characters, representing the Thai people, are preparing a place on the beach in southern Thailand for visitors; on a boat at the floating market; on an elephant walking through the jungles of Chiang Rai; and at a temple in Sukhothai Province during the Loi Krathong Festival. All of these images portray to the world the charm and beauty of Thailand, and its people who are waiting to welcome, with their renowned Thai grace and warm hospitality, visitors to this magical land.

The Das goldene Stadttor (Golden City Gate) International Film and Media Competition
The Das goldene Stadttor (Golden City Gate) international film and media competition offers cities, communities, economic regions, hotels, airports and the travel industry a platform to present their films, videos, DVDs and spots to an international audience at ITB Berlin at the ITB Cinema, hall 4.1., during March 11 – 15, 2009.

Members of the international travel and tourism industry are encouraged to participate in the international film competition. In 2009, there were a total of 94 submissions from all over the world. All competing entries were shown on the big screen during the trade fair at the ITB Cinema and were judged by an international jury consisting of 40 representatives from marketing, embassies, media, film and advertising who were members of the selection committee.

The Das Goldene Stadttor (Golden City Gate) Awards has gained in popularity and is attracting a growing number of submissions in the ten featured award categories each year. Contestants submit films, TV-spots, print and online publications to the ITB Cinema.
