“Thailand Talks to The World", the 60-second English language TV commercial produced by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, won the Das goldene Stadttor (Golden City Gate) Award in the TV and Cinema Spot award category.

Launched in 2001, the prestigious awards were being organized for the ninth consecutive time in 2010.
The Das goldene Stadttor (Golden City Gate) international film and media competition is held as part of the annual International Tourism Fair in Berlin and is considered to be one of the “Oscars” of the international travel and tourism industry.
The international film competition offers cities, communities, economic regions, airports, ocean carriers, hotels and the tourism sector a platform to present their films, videos, DVDs and spots to professional and interested audience at the International Tourism Fair at the ITB Cinema.
The Das Goldene Stadttor (Golden City Gate) Awards has gained in popularity and despite the economic crisis, continues to attract a growing number of submissions in the ten featured award categories each year.
The international film and media-competition features a total of ten award categories for which three Das goldene Stadttor/Golden City Gate Awards are presented in each category — Golden, Bronze and Silver. The best film across all categories wins The Diamond Award.
All competing entries were shown on the big screen during the trade fair at the ITB Cinema and were judged by an international jury consisting of 40 representatives from international and national tourism associations as well as tour operators, economic experts, service suppliers, and political officials. The list of judges read like a “Who is who” of the international tourism industry and reflects the entire breadth of the sector.
A total of 48 golden, silver, and bronze city gates awards were presented during the two-hour award presentation ceremony at the ITB Cinema. The glamourous event was attended by over 300 guests from around the world.
Gorongosa National Park: Africa's Lost Eden was voted film of the year and winner of the 2010 Diamond Award.
