| The Tourism Authority of Thailand’s Hong Kong office — TAT Hong Kong — has worked in close cooperation with strategic tourism partners in Hong Kong, Macau and Guangdong — one of China's most prosperous provinces, to organize the ‘Thailand Golf Escape’ programme over the past ten years.
In recognition of this continued commitment, Thailand was voted the Golfer Choice Award 2008 – 2009 ‘Choice Vacation Destination’.
The Golfer Choice Award 2008 – 2009 is jointly organized by the Hong Kong Golf Association, the Europe-Asia PGA and Golf Vacations, the Hong Kong based golfing publication. The award presentation ceremony was held on July 28, 2009, at the Hotel LFK By Rhombus, Hong Kong.
