Hua Hin, 3 October, 2016 – The 200,000 square metre BluPort Shopping Mall opens to the public in late September, this year, bringing a range of retail, dining and entertainment to the seaside town of Hua Hin and enhancing the town’s retail offerings to tourists and locals.

The mall, opposite the InterContinental Hua Hin Resort, is a result of collaboration between The Mall Group and Prayaoon Group and is aimed at providing shopping and entertainment facilities for locals and the many people from Bangkok who visit Hua Hin regularly for weekend getaways.

The project has 200,000 square metres of space, of which 50,000 square metres are a department store, with 25,000 for a shopping plaza and a further 10,000 square metres for a gourmet supermarket.

It is expected that visitor numbers will reach 20,000 during weekdays and double this at the weekend, with annual retail sales of 7 billion Baht. The retail space was almost fully booked on the day of the signing ceremony back in October 2012.
