Bhumibol Dam in Tak province will be hosting the Bhumibol Dam Invitation International Mountain Bike Championships for the fourth consecutive year on August 27-28, 2005. Noted for its scenic landscape, Bhumibol Dam provides an ideal setting for the mountain bike races.

The event is being jointly organized by the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (Egat) and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) in cooperation with the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) and Bhumibol Dam to promote ecotourism in tandem with outdoor sports at both a national and international level.

Local and international bikers are being invited to participate in this friendly event.

AUGUST 27, 2005

	SWEAT MOUNTAIN BIKE 08.30 hours Tak Province-Bhumibol Dam Covering a distance of 60 km To be eligible for this category, bicycles must be fitted with tires with a diameter measuring 26 inches and a minimum width of 1.8 inches Men's   Women's Code 1 - open Code 2 – age not over 18 yrs Code 3 - 40 yrs and over Code 4 - 50 yrs and over   Code 5 - open
	FAMILY BIKE 13.00 hours at Bhumibol Dam Covering a distance of 24 km Contestants consist of a 2-person team. Category X - father and son (age of son not over 12 years) Category Y - father and daughter (age of daughter not over 12 years) Category Z - mother and daughter or son (age of daughter and son not over 12 years)
	FUNNY BIKE 13.00 hours at Bhumibol Dam Categories featured: Couple Bike: A 4.8-km bike rally with 2 persons per team, open Family Bike: A 4.8-km bike rally with 4 persons/ team, open only to family members. Participants will be required to present identification documents. Casanova Bike – Women's race: 600 m. 2 rounds Casanova Bike – Men's race: 600 m. 2 rounds Groupie Bike (for students): 4 x 600 m. (4 persons per team) Cheetah Bike (open): short distance Conqueror Bike: Race to the top of the dam. The winner's name will engraved on the trophy

	AMATEUR BIKE 08.00 hours at Bhumibol Dam Covering a distance of 25 km Categories featured: Men's   Women's K - Open L - not over 15 yrs M - not over 18 yrs N - 30-39 yrs O - 40-49 yrs P - 50-54 yrs R - 55 yrs and over   S – Open T- age not over 18 yrs U- 30 yrs and over
	COMPETITION BIKE Covering a distance of 40 km. 09.30 hours at Bhumibol Dam Categories featured: Men's   Women's A - Open B - age not over 18 yrs C - 30-39 yrs D - 40-49 yrs E - 50 yrs and over   F - Open

OTHER ACTIVITIES AUGUST 27 – 28, 2005
Kayaking, boating, vintage bike contest, fancy bike contest, food fair, goods fair, golf, kid’s activities, camp decorating contest (only in the night on August 27.)
