Dasada Gallery in the Prachinburi province near Khao Yai has long been recognised for its extravagant flower garden. From now until 19 February, 2017, the venue is organising the ‘Once Flower Upon a Time Festival @ Dasada Gallery’ (a flower festival in the glasshouses where rare blooms can flourish) – along with special exhibitions to pay remembrance to His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
Set on a 800-rai plot of land, the flower festival at Dasada Gallery features five different zones:
- Gallery Hall A exhibits several cold-climate floral species along with a special exhibition featuring more than 100 photos of H.M the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The highlight is the King’s portrait beautifully created with globe amaranth flowers
- Gallery Hall B features the important works of H.M. the King via a spectacular light and sound presentation.
- The Tiny Park zone features several kinds of cute birds such as peacocks, parrots, peasants, mallards etc. for young people to enjoy.
- M the late King’s photo exhibition; and a light and sound dancing water fountain featuring royal music
The festival will also serve up games, street performances and free concerts. Visitors can even take a farm tour to experience the flower fields in full bloom or join flower arranging workshops in a charming environment.
Open from 09.00 – 17.00 Hrs. Admission tickets are 100 Baht for adults; 70 Baht for children and free for small children under 90cm in height.
