Phuket Thailand Open is part of the Swatch-FIVB World Tour for Professional women players and is the biggest beach volleyball event staged in Thailand.
After staging women’s FIVB Challenger/Satellite events in Pattaya (2001), Bangkok (2005) and Phuket (2005), followed by its first World Tour stop last year, Thailand continues its tradition in 2007 with the final stop on the women's calendar.
The Phuket Thailand Open is the last stop on the 2007 World Tour. Teams who will play in the tournament will be all the top beach volleyball teams from around the world: Brazil, USA, Germany, Switzerland, Norway, Netherlands, Australia, China and Japan.
