The ever popular and highly successful Chiang Mai International Art and Culture Festival, featuring both Thai as well as international performances, returns for the eleventh consecutive year in 2008. The host city of Chiang Mai is staging the Chiang Mai International Art and Culture Festival on a grand scale to celebrate the birthday anniversary of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on April 2, which has also been designated Thai Heritage Conservation Day.
