| |
Pakchong district in Nakhon Ratchasima province, also known simply as Khorat, is Thailand’s ‘cowboy country’. Home to farms and ranches in Thailand’s Northeastern region, or I-San, the region is thus known for its ‘Wild Wild West’ qualities and its love for all things, ‘Country-and-Western’. This is largely reflected in the popular ‘Cowboy Night’ theme parties and the festive celebrations hosted by the district, especially during the holiday season. The Wild West shows never fail to capture children’s imaginations. For Wild West fans, Pakchong is the perfect place to shop for cowboy costume accessories and memorabilia.
Restaurants and steakhouses in Pakchong district serve up some of the country’s finest steaks, barbeques and other grilled delicacies.
Visitors, especially city dwellers keen to get away from it all, are simply enthralled by the opportunity to camp out and sleep under the stars, serenaded by a medley of campfire songs. For the very unique and memorable experience that it offers, Pakchong ranks as one of the favourite destinations for New Year celebrations, for family and friends.
