TAI LUE HERITAGE FESTIVAL AND FAIR
A Celebration of Tai Lue Culture and Eastern Lanna Civilization
February 19 – 21, 2010
Pua sub-district of Nan province

The town of Nan in Northern Thailand has had remarkable success in being able to carefully preserve most aspects of its cultural heritage through the centuries. This is reflected in the many ancient sites, the art and architecture, traditional homes, local customs and traditions, as well as the indigenous way of life of the various tribal communities found in the province. In spite of the march of progress with the passage of time, the old and the new co-exist in perfect harmony.

To celebrate its magnificent heritage and showcase the many treasures of ancient Eastern Lanna civilization, Nan will be hosting the Chompoo Phu Kha Tai Lue Heritage Festival and Fair, February 19 – 21.

  IMPORTANT
Event dates and programme details may be subject to change.
Many of the festivals and events listed on Thailand's official calendar of annual events are traditional Buddhist or folk festivals, the date of which is either determined by the Buddhist lunar calendar and waxing and waning moon. These are not staged events. The festivals reflect the rhythm of life in rural Thai villages and local traditions as observed in times past.
