| France is renowned the world over for its High Fashion and its fashion shows. But do you know the photographers who have contributed to this success story? This year, with La Fête, discover the world of fashion photography and its diversity. Through the eyes and lenses of four famous photographers, Fashion Story (ies) brings you French fashion, with all its facets with photos that will make you dream.

Jean-Marie Périer
Jean-Marie Périer started his career in 1956 at Paris-Match. From 1962 to 1974, he was the photographer of Salut les Copainsand rubbed shoulders with all the artists of the 60s. From 1975, he moved to the US where he made numerous films for cinema and TV. In 1990, he came back to France and took up photography once again particularly for ELLE magazine. All the famous designers posed for him: Saint-Laurent, Armani, Tom Ford, Christian Lacroix, Gaultier, Alaïa

Gérard Uféras
Gérard Uféras received a World Press award in the category Art Stories in 1997. Cofounder of the VU’ agency, he has been a member of the Rapho agency for more than 15 years. In June 2009, the European House of Photography in Paris presented Etats de grâce, an exhibition displaying twenty years of his work. |

Derek Hudson
Derek Hudson came to photography via reporting for the London Sunday Times magazine. He lived in Paris, New York and worked as a freelance photographer for Time/Life, Rolling Stone, Newsweek, New York Times Magazine, Stern, Paris Match, and Vogue. Returning to England, he worked for Life Magazine during 10 years. From 1997 to 2000, he covered the International Film festival at Cannes for the newspaper Le Monde on a daily basis. He won the World Press award twice.

Françoise Huguier
Françoise Huguier supported African photography particularly by creating the first Biennale de la photographiein Bamako in 1994. Her work and her expertise won her recognition - World Press Photo, exhibitions at the Rencontres d’Arles, curator of the Mois de la Photo in France etc. Her fashion photos started appearing from 1983 in the newspaper Libération. The magazines Vogue, New York Times magazine, Marie-Claire discovered her work and became her clients
