June 9, 2010 at 17.00 hrs (5pm) at Santichaiprakarn Park, Boat/Express Boat pier 13

Before the Paï Saï shows, the Chant de Balles Company will perform a small open air show called Girouette pour jardin (Garden weathervane). These shows, which are free of charge, will be organized in crowded public places. A new and generous way of reaching out to new audiences and to give a taste of La Fête to those who are either not used to or who cannot afford to go to shows.

Girouette pour Jardin
Vincent de Lavenère’s juggling has been inspired by the strong traditions of the South West of France. From the ringing of the bells to the magical movements of the chistera, the juggler moves within a circle. This little gem of visual poetry takes shape progressively through gestures and his throwing of the balls takes us at times to a universe echoing with the sounds of his childhood and sometimes right into a true fireworks display. Images, poetry and sounds of the mountains all merge together into a flight of balls juggled with sheer virtuosity.

Author: Vincent de Lavenère
Actors: Vincent and Véronique de Lavenère Scenography: Bruno de Lavenère

In France, this show was produced with the support of: Culturesfrance, Ministry of Culture, DRAC île de France, General Council of Essonne, Centre Marcel Pagnol of Bures sur Yvette, L’Espace Marcel Carné of St Michel sur Orge.

  IMPORTANT
Event dates and programme details may be subject to change.
Many of the festivals and events listed on Thailand's official calendar of annual events are traditional Buddhist or folk festivals, the date of which is either determined by the Buddhist lunar calendar and waxing and waning moon. These are not staged events. The festivals reflect the rhythm of life in rural Thai villages and local traditions as observed in times past.
