PHUKET MUSIC FESTIVAL
June 25 - 26, 2010/ 18.00 – 02.00 hrs

The tropical island paradise of Phuket will be hosting the 2010 Phuket Music Festival at Karon Beach, June 25 – 26.

Billed as the largest beach dance party in Asia, the two-day, two-night music and dance festival and free concert, brings together Thailand's popular music artists and DJs (deejays) from Europe and Asia*. Eight Thai artists will be joined by four leading international DJs who will be flying into Phuket to take part in the festival. The top names include Agnelli & Nelson and DJ Activa from the United Kingdom, DJ Yoji from Japan and DJ B – favourite resident DJ – from Zouk Out, Singapore.

The current line-up of Thai artists features Ta-mone (rhythm and horn), Joe Fax (pop and ska), Buddha bless (hip hop), Fourgusm Band (popular R&B, jazz and reggae), Job 2 do (reggae Thai-style), Mahajamruen, and Thailand’s own No. 1 DJ – DJ Spyda Monkey and DJ Thanathorn, rookie of Thailand’s club scene.

Together, they will be playing, and spinning, music from all genres – dance music, pop, hip-hop, reggae, ska, bossa nova and more. The party kicks off at 6 pm and continues until 2.00 in the morning, both days.

Singha Corporation/ Boon Rawd Brewery, the sponsors of the event, are also sponsoring a special performance by Silly Fool and Zeal who will be making a special guest appearance under the name, Silly Zeals.

Agnelli & Nelson from the UK
Since 1997, Chris Agnew and Robbie Nelson have been writing and producing dance music, of which their hits El Nino and Everyday have become classics of their genre. They have to date produced five top 40 hits in the United Kingdom, and countless remixes, from Armin van Buuren to U2. The pair have collaborated with other major artists, including Matt Darey, Jon the Dentist, Scott Bond, Solar Stone, and Chicane. They have also appeared on BBC Radio 1 six times to provide guest mixes. They produce music for Xtravaganza, and labels such as Tsunami and ID&T[1].
