For the Loi Krathong Theme Night, the grounds of the Bangsai Arts and Crafts Village will be transformed into the traditional villages of the four regions of Thailand.
Before the theme night starts, visitors will able to enjoy exhibitions which showcase the traditional way of life, folk arts and crafts demonstrations and a variety of cultural shows presented at the Village. |
After the sun sets, theme night begins. The village bathes in the warm light of hundreds of lit torches. In the enchanting setting of 26 traditional Thai-style houses, guests are offered a taste of Thailand with an elaborate dinner buffet and dinner entertainment programme featuring the following cultural highlights.
THEME NIGHT PROGRAMME HIGHLIGHTS
- Delicious Thai cuisine
- Thai classical dances and folk dances including the Khon masked drama
- Swordfighting
- The Sukhothai and lantern dances
- The legend of "Nang Noppamat", a story about the origins of the Loi Krathong festival
- Krathongs are set adrift
- Rumwong (the circle dance)
- Fireworks
- Lantern balloons are released
The Loi Krathong Theme Night itself is being staged in a privately reserved area of the Bangsai Art and Crafts Village.
RESERVATIONS AND TICKETS
Tickets for the Theme Night are available at -
1,500 baht* for adults / 1, 200 baht* for children
*This includes the admission fee, the buffet dinner and a krathong float.
The Bangsai Arts and Crafts Village is located within the Bangsai Arts and Craft Centre, Bangsai District, Ayutthaya Province. It is within 10 minutes drive from the exit of the Northern Expressway or approximately 50 minutes drive from Bangkok.
