PHITSANULOK
The situation has returned to normal in most areas including the districts of Noen Maprang, Bang Krathum, Nakhon Thai, Chat Trakan and Wang Thong. A small amount of water remains trapped in the provincial centre of Phitsanulok (Amphoe Muang district). Overall, key tourist attractions have not been affected. Tourists can still go rafting on the Khek Rapids (Kaeng Mae Nam Khek). |

SUKHOTHAI
Key tourist areas have not been affected and tourists can still travel to Sukhothai. For information on recommended routes, please contact the local Highways Department office at 0-5561-1258. The annual Loy Krathong — ‘Festival of Lights’, with candle-lit floats and traditional fireworks, will be held on 1-5 November.

TAK
Floodwaters have receded and the situation has returned to normal. Tak province will be hosting the ‘Loi Krathong Sai Festival and a Thousand Floating Candles’ on 3-8 November.

CENTRAL REGION

AYUTTHAYA PROVINCE (Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya)
Water levels in the Pasak and Chao Phraya Rivers are stabilizing. The Fine Arts Department has re-opened part of Wat Chaiwattanaram temple. Visitors are allowed in to see the main chedi or towers (prang) as long as they follow the authorities’ recommendations but may not yet enter the ordination hall or Buddhist chapel (ubosoth) situated near the river.

SUPHAN BURI
The roads from Suphan Buri to Ang Thong and from Suphan Buri to Ayutthaya are closed due to flooding.

SING BURI
Water levels are stable, but the annual traditional long boat races have been cancelled. |

CHAI NAT
Most roads in Muang District are passable except for the Sing Buri-Chai Nat Highway and roads along the Chao Phraya River. All parts of Sapphaya District are classified as a critical zone.
