It includes participation by luxury tour operators and lifestyle management companies from East Asia (9), ASEAN and the South Pacific (8), Europe (7), and the Americas (3). Their visit was coordinated by 12 TAT overseas offices.
An exclusive trade meet event was organised on 28 March, 2016, at Nai Lert Park Heritage Home, Bangkok, one of Thailand’s newest upmarket attractions. Another exclusive trade meet will be held on 31 March, 2016, at the Amanpuri Resort in Phuket. This will allow Thai luxury tourism operators; such as, hotels and resorts, golf courses, spas, Thai cooking schools and others to do business with the Fam trip participants.
Mrs. Juthaporn Rerngronasa, TAT Deputy Governor for International Marketing (Europe, Africa, Middle East and Americas) said, “We believe that this event will establish good connections between Thai tour operators and International tour operators. Promoting luxury travel is now one of the priorities of the Thai tourism industry, as we are promoting Thailand as a ‘Quality Leisure Destination through Thainess’.”
She added. “Thailand is a vibrant country with a spectacular range of products for luxury travellers. These include elegant boutique resorts offering privacy and seclusion, upscale restaurants on the rooftops of many of our 5-star hotels, quality spas and health centres, and some of the most elegant shopping malls. High net-worth individuals can also enjoy beachfront pool villas and well-equipped yachts and cruises in Phuket and Pattaya to accommodate the need of island hoppers.”
