Winners in each of the travel-related categories are selected by a travel trade jury comprising 300 members of the Norwegian travel industry. The awards are presented in a total of 17 categories with scores allocated according to a scale of 1-6, with 1 being the lowest score and 6 is the highest.

The Kingdom of Thailand led with a score of 5.04 from a total score of 6, while Greece ranked second with a score of 4.64 and Italy in third place with a score of 4.53.
