The Norwegian travel trade has rated the Kingdom of Thailand “The World’s Best Tourist Country 2007”. The fourth year in a row Thailand wins. The "Grand Travel Award 2007" was presented at the annual award presentation organized by "Travel News", an independent Norwegian travel trade magazine held yesterday, on January 8th in Oslo.

The Grand Travel Awards were organized for the twelfth time and the selection of winners was made by a Norwegian travel trade jury and a random selection of 300 travel agents.

The award was received by H.E. Chitriya Pinthong, Ambassador of Thailand to Norway. Her Excellency expressed gratitude and thanked for the Norwegian travel trade for loyalty to Thailand and its people.

Thailand was the winner in the 'World’s Best Tourist Country' category, with a score of 4.96 followed by Greece 4.54, Denmark 4.47, Italy 4.46 and Spain 4.34
