An exhibition of Thailand’s traditional textiles and handicrafts is being hosted by TAT to showcase the weaving and embroidering traditions that have made Thai cloth so famous. “The Passage of Thai Fabric – A Tribute to Her Majesty the Queen” is part of TAT’s Women’s Journey Thailand campaign that is running throughout the month of August and pays tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s hard work to preserve Thailand’s art and decorative crafts. Gallery 1: The exhibition opened at Siam Paragon with a riot of colour as people got the chance to see examples of the amazing hues and patterns of Thai textiles, all distinct to different regions.

Gallery 2 : H.E. Mrs Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul, Minister of Tourism and Sports was at the exhibition and paid tribute to the hard work of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit who has always been dedicated to helping Thailand’s creative communities promote and preserve their heritage.

Gallery 3: VIPs and celebrities came along to enjoy the exhibition and to learn more about the huge variety and high quality of Thai fabrics and discover how they are made.

Gallery 4: A fashion show was the highlight of the Passage of Thai Fabric exhibition. Visitors got to see Thai fabrics used in dresses and costumes designed by big Thai fashion brands as well as innovative designs from Thai fashion students.
