SOFITEL CENTRAL HUA HIN RESORT PROTECTS OZONE LAYER
WITH NEW LAUNDRY SYSTEM

The Sofitel Central Hua Hin Resort has installed the latest technology in its laundry operations to reduce harmful emissions into the environment and conserve energy.

The hotel has invested over 1.5 million baht (US$36,000) for its Ozone Laundry System project and recently received official Ozone Laundry System Certification from En Axis Ltd in conjunction with the Industrial Finance Corporation of Thailand.

The Ozone Laundry System is a fully integrated procedure that washes at a much lower water temperature (reducing fuel or gas by 8595 %), while decreasing chemical residue in fabrics (by 50%), and minimizing water use.

General Manager Bernd Schneider said the project was part of Sofitel Central Hua Hin Resort’s overall commitment to protect Thailand’s environment.

“It is important for hotels in Thailand to continue to look at new ways to reduce energy consumption and help the environment. Sofitel Central Hua Hin Resort is very proud to be the first hotel in Thailand to implement this revolutionary technology.”

Sofitel is the prestige brand of Accor hotels, with more than 180 properties that bring a unique French “art de vivre” to prime locations around the world.
