Asia Books is offering individuals with a keen interest in photography a chance to win prizes in the Thailand Grand Invitation Photo Contest, featuring the theme “Beautiful Thailand’s Islands & Beaches”.
The Thailand Grand Invitation Photo Contest — jointly organised by Asia Books, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Lonely Planet and Siam Paragon — aims to create increased awareness and promote travel around Thailand during a year of regal splendour. Grand Celebrations are being held throughout the kingdom to honour His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the world’s longest reigning, living monarch, on the auspicious occasion of the sixtieth anniversary celebrations of His Majesty’s accession to the throne.
The competition is not being limited to professional photographers. Individual travellers are being encouraged to share their travel experiences simply by taking part in the photo contest.
Contest Rules
- The theme for the Thailand Grand Invitation Photo Contest is “Beautiful Thailand’s Islands & Beaches”.
- Only one entry per person and the original photographer will be accepted.
- Entries should be taken by digital camera and submitted as colour photographs in digital file format, with colour prints, size 8x10 inches only, attached.
- Please include the following details in English with your submission:
name, address, contact number, e-mail address, age, photo title and where/when the photo was taken.
- Please submit your entry to any Asia Books stores within July 31, 2006.
- Winners will be notified via phone and via the www.asiabooks.com web site in September 2006 when judging has been completed.

| Remark: Images submitted will become the property of the sponsors and maybe reproduced in promotional material.
PRIZES
1st prize: 15,000 baht cash
2nd prize: 20,000 baht cash
3rd prize: 5,000 baht cash
plus Lonely Planet: Thailand’s Islands and Beaches for the first 200 entries
