The award presentation ceremony was hosted at the Battersea Marquee in London on November 9, 2006.

The 2006 British Travel Awards are based on the votes of the British public and the opinions of the travel industry.

Aptly named “Chiva-Som”, which means "haven of life", Chiva Som has evolved into the first internationally acclaimed health resort in Asia.
