2006 ASIAN GOLF MONTHLY AWARDS
THAILAND – 1st CHOICE ASIAN DESTINATION FOR GOLFERS
• Best Golf Destination in Asia – Thailand
• Best Clubhouse in Asia – Thai Country Club
• Best New Course in Asia – Amata Spring Country Club

In the February 2007 issue of its golfing publication, Asia Golf Monthly announced the results of its seventh edition of the 2006 Asian Golf Monthly Awards survey, billed as the region’s most respected golfing poll.

Subscribers and readers were invited to play judge for the day and vote for their favourites in Asian golf.

According to the ‘Ranking with the Best’ article, Asia Golf Monthly reports, “While Thailand remains out in the fore-front as the first choice destination for golfers, Thailand Country Club reaffirmed its status as a leading attraction, retaining its crown as the ‘Best Clubhouse in Asia’ as well as being declared the ‘Best Course’ in Thailand for a second year in succession.

“The emergency of Amata Spring Country Club, a close neighbour of Thai Country Club, was underlined when it emerged a landslide winner in the ‘Best New Course in Asia’ poll, the one new category introduced in 2006.”
