To celebrate the opening of a new aquarium at the Kung Kraben marine sanctuary, in Chanthaburi, Faasai Resort and Spa is offering a month-long special package with two nights’ accommodation and a half-day trip to the sanctuary, including kayaking through the mangroves, a visit to the aquarium and a walk along the mangrove boardwalk.

The marine sanctuary is a royal conservation project and to celebrate the 80th birthday of His Majesty the King, a second wing of its aquarium will be opened on November 1.

The new aquarium will feature fish from all parts of Thailand including deep sea and freshwater species. It will complement the existing aquarium which highlights local marine life from the surrounding area and includes stingrays, puffer-fish, seahorses and many varieties of coral. There will be five days of celebrations to mark the occasion from November 1 until November 5, with free seafood markets, OTOP crafts and music and dancing from local students.

Faasai’s nature and sea celebration package includes two nights’ accommodation including breakfast in an air-conditioned bungalow and a half day trip to the Kung Kraben marine sanctuary for Baht 2900. A family package for four in a twin-room villa is available for Baht 6100 for two nights. Faasai Resort is a nature resort near the small fishing village of Kung Wiman which overlooks Kung Kraben Bay.
