Courtyard by Marriott Brand Continues to Expand with New Properties in Thailand’s Surin and Cha Am Beaches

Marriott Hotels (Thailand) Ltd’s announcement of opening the 256-room Courtyard by Marriott Phuket at Surin Beach on June 6th reinforces Marriott’s continual expansion with the opening of its third Courtyard by Marriott Hua Hin at Cha-Am Beach in August. This follows Marriott’s expansion in Thailand with its first Courtyard, the family-friendly, savvy hotel in Bangkok last November.

The Courtyard by Marriott Phuket at Surin beach is located 20 km from Phuket International airport while the Courtyard by Marriott Hua Hin at Cha-Am beach is located at Petchburi, 2.5 hours away from Bangkok. Both Courtyards will also include Marriott’s “KIDSWORLD”, business facility as well as Courtyard’s popular all-day-dining “MoMo Café”, all facilities located close to natural attractions of the two beach resorts.

“Besides being the destination for family and couples seeking a holiday or corporate retreat place with fine sand beaches, the hotels are places great for trekking, snorkeling or just unwinding on peaceful beaches. Special attention is given to children at our KIDSWORLD, an amusement and edutainment play zone for children from four years, while swimmers can enjoy our new 32 to 60 meters long swirling and turning configuration slider,” said Anthony Armas, Director of Marketing, Marriott Hotels (Thailand).

“We are pleased to provide a better lodging facility with excellent value for money and includes recreational options both indoors and outdoors for Phuket,” said Armas. “For a truly relaxed family holiday both parents and their offspring need to be able to enjoy their stay together.”

According to Armas, KIDSWORLD features more than just an area for children to hang out. The hotel will include in-doors kids’ activities with an array of sports and cultural activities from arts to craft studio, movie area, and play stations. Kids will be able to enjoy movies and games or accompany parents to 2-3 hours outdoor trip.

Both hotels feature Guest Service tour options for those who want to explore the surroundings such as adventure treks, snorkeling or sight-seeing. The hotels are business friendly and have office facilities for faxing, photocopying and business utilities which are available 24 hours. The hotels also have limousine services, shuttle service and a fully equipped fitness center.

According to Theera Kanjana, General Manager of Courtyard by Marriott Phuket at Surin Beach, the hotel has a professional tour desk which guests can get assistance for outdoor activities.

“At our professional tour desk, the Siam Adventure Club, guests or family can take part to explore the soothing nature of Phuket, Phang-Na Bay or outdoors by taking advantage of our various tour packages available,” he said.

“In Phuket, FantaSea, Jungceylon Shopping Mall, Promthep Cape, Wat Chalong are popular outdoor places you can visit while you are staying at Courtyard by Marriott Phuket at Surin Beach,” Kanjana said.

Kanjana informed that the new Courtyard by Marriott Phuket at Surin Beach’s five medium-sized function rooms can accommodate big sized family get-togethers or celebrations.

While the new Courtyard’s by Marriott Phuket at Surin Beach’s 256-beachside resort has enhanced lodging choice for holiday lovers seeking a more comfortable place to experience the pristine nature at Thailand’s most popular destination in the south, Courtyard by Marriott Hua-Hin at Cha-Am Beach’s 243 room resort will be an ideal place for business retreats, family get-togethers as well as memorable weddings.

“At Courtyard by Marriott Hua Hin at Cha Am Beach, we have 10 function rooms which can accommodate up to 500 guests,” said Richard Wallace, General Manager of Courtyard by Marriott Hua Hin at Cha Am Beach.

“Diners can enjoy a variety of International contemporary cuisines for breakfast, lunch and dinners at the all-day-dining “MoMo Café”. The hotel offers — “MoMo 2 Go” — a counter filled with freshly baked pastries, desserts, sandwiches, coffee and tea and daily necessity products.”

Wallace said that activities around the resort include sightseeing, visiting the Royal Palaces, national park, mountain waterfalls, night market, take elephant rides, go golfing, or enjoy the beaches.

Each of Courtyard’s guestrooms is elegantly designed with plush bed and bath linens, brightly colored pillows and equipped with work desk, high speed internet, satellite TV, DVD player and exclusive amenities.

Courtyard by Marriott hotels are designed for travelers who want to make the most of their time on the road and desire consistent, high quality accommodations and services at affordable prices. Introduced more than 20 years ago, the Courtyard by Marriott brand is now Marriott’s largest lodging brand in the world.

Early in January this year, Marriott International has also announced the openings of the fourth Courtyard Phuket at Kamala beach and the fifth Courtyard at Patong beach.

The opening of two more Courtyards in Phuket in September this year will provide travelers with additional choice of travel experiences on lively Patong or a relaxing venue at Kamala beaches.
