2008-Global-TravelerBangkok, January 15, 2009 – Bangkok has been named ‘Best International Business City’ in the 2008 GT Tested Reader Survey Awards. The honour was bestowed by over 30,000 of the publication’s distinguished readers — all frequent travellers who know the best when they see it.

The gala event on January 15, 2009, was hosted at the wonderful Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles and was attended by over 300 top travel industry leaders, marketing professionals and the press. The Hotel Bel-Air won “Best Hotel in the United States” and “Best Hotel in the Western United States” in the 2008 survey — making it the perfect location for the celebrations.

Global Traveler Magazine, with 104,450 ABC Audited Circulation — the only audited business travel magazine in the United States, was launched in 2004 and is published monthly.

The magazine continues to strive to improve its reporting to premium-class international travellers, whether they are on business or leisure trips.
