Siam Paragon ranked sixth place people mentioned most on Facebook in 2015

Bangkok, 15 December, 2015 – Siam Paragon, one of Thailand’s most luxury shopping complexes, is ranked the sixth most talked about place among people around the world in 2015 and is the only place in Asia to be on the top 10 list, according to Facebook.

Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, Governor of Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) said, “Siam Paragon has been the talk of the town since its opening with its prominent location and a wide variety of products and services that suit the needs of all visitors, and inevitably has become one of the must-visit places in Bangkok for international tourists. It’s more than a shopping mall as beyond the excellent shopping opportunities, people visit Siam Paragon to meet friends, watch movies or concerts, have fun at the aquarium, and of course, to have a good time and share their moments to the world via social media.”

Opened in 2005, Siam Paragon is a 15-billion Baht development, boasting an area of more than 500,000 square metres and over 250 stores of leading local and international brands that suit the needs of all visitors. The complex also houses the Paragon Department Store, Gourmet Market, Royal Paragon Hall, Paragon Cinema-plex, and SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World aquarium.

Siam Paragon attracts more than 250,000 visitors a day. It was also one of the most post-places on Instagram over the past few years.

Its sixth rank on Facebook came after Disney Properties, Universal Studios Properties, Time Square in New York, Eiffel Tower in Paris and Niagara Falls in Canada, respectively. And it is followed by the Grand Canyon and Yosemite National Park in the US, the Louvre in Paris, and Central Park in New York.
