Rules for Submission: Main Competition
  • 1.Applicants must register a profile on www.tatnews.org/bloggerthailand, using their personal Facebook or Google+ account and complete the application form.
  • 2.Applicants can submit one entry only, either a blog, vlog or photo. All content must be in English only.
    • 2.1.A blog of 400-500 words with up to five photos to illustrate the story. Each photo should be submitted via a link to a media file on your blog (website) or a link to a post on Instagram.
    • 2.2.A vlog of 60-90 seconds that should be submitted via a link to a video on YouTube.
    • 2.3.A photo with a title that briefly describes the image and states where in Thailand it was taken or why it represents an impression of Thailand. The photo should be submitted via a link to a post on Instagram.
  • 3.The entries must cover one of the following categories about the TAT’s “Amazing Thailand Open to the New Shades” communication concept, or experienced based impression entries (for those who have never visited Thailand):
    • 3.1.Gastronomy: street food, fine-dining, home cooked meals, cooking class, local food tours in Thailand;
    • 3.2.Nature and Beach: some of the most outstanding natural sites in Thailand;
    • 3.3.Arts and Crafts: Thailand’s performing arts, local wisdoms – silk, textile, ceramic etc, museums, festivals, etc;
    • 3.4.Culture: Thai traditional culture reflects in religions, sports, dramatic arts etc;
    • 3.5.Way of Life: farm tour or homestay in Thailand, night markets, street art etc.
  • 4.Only approved entries will be published for voting and judging process. This means they addresses the theme of the competition, be beneficial to Thai tourism, and promote a good image of Thailand.
  • 5.All entries must be the work of the individual submitting them and must not have been published elsewhere either online or in print or have won prizes in any other competition. Applicants must be able to guarantee that the blog, photo or vlog they are submitting is their own work and that they own the copyright for it.
  • 6.Work that has already been posted on applicants’ personal blogs but NOT older than four months will be accepted.
  • 7.It is the responsibility of applicants to make sure that any photos or videos they upload of people have been taken with the permission of the subject and do not infringe the copyright of any third party. When an individual under 18 is featured in an image, the applicant must be able to confirm that a parent or guardian has given consent.
  • 8.If it is proven that an applicant has uploaded a blog, photo or video that they don’t have the rights to, any disputes, claims or legal action over disputed copyright remain the responsibility of the applicant. TAT Newsroom will bear no responsibility.
  • 9.TAT Newsroom reserves the right to reject, without prior notice, any blogs, photos or videos that may cause legal disputes including slanderous, vulgar or violent language, or portray a negative image of Thailand and its institutions.
  • 10.Photos or videos entered may be digitally enhanced to remove spots or scratches, but not manipulated. Applicants can enhance the photo to make it brighter, clearer etc., but not manipulate the content. Photos with watermarks or names will not be eligible. TAT Newsroom reserves the right to exclude photos or videos that may have been treated so as to alter their authenticity.
  • 11.TAT Newsroom reserves the right to use the images or information of the applicants for advertising and publicity of the activity without prior notice.
  • 12.If any applicant is found to commit fraudulent act in any way, that applicant will be disqualified from the activity without prior notice.
