TAT Newsroom announces lucky
Blogger Thailand 2019 winners

Winners must verify their identity and confirm the trip participation within seven days of announcement

Bangkok, 28 February 2019 - The results are in for the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT)’s fourth annual TAT Newsroom “Blogger Thailand” competition, and TAT is delighted to announce the lucky winners.

Out of a possible 140 total points as per the previously published criteria, the six winners are:

Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park: One of the Most Outstanding Natural Sites in Thailand

Get off the beaten track in Thailand and set sail in a stunning archipelago of 42 islands

East Meets East: Bangkok's Chinatown

Very quickly, Bangkok can overwhelm the senses. Most people land in the city and it’s their first foray into Thailand – far removed from the turquoise beaches in the south or jungle environments up north. And Chinatown is no exception.

Nong Bua Market, Chanthaburi

The old market with unbelievable name of Thai snack (Eng subtitle).

Thailand - 4 Cooking Experiences That We Didn't Know

Tuk Tuk and Canal Tour Bangkok

Exploring a different side of Thailand's capital city.

Khlong Lat Mayom: A Hidden Floating Market of Bangkok!

An Offbeat yet Amazing Floating Market of Bangkok

The three alternate runners-up are:

How I Almost Died in Pai...

...and why I fell in love with this city anyway!

Street Food Tour

The more food tours I do the more I am convinced that there is no better way to learn about where you are and who the locals are than to eat what they eat.

#HowToPhuket

Fast Forward Phuket in 5 days

Winners must verify their identity within seven days after the announcement date by submitting the proof of participation (the social media post that was set to the public) and a copy of their passport to email: [email protected] from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Thai time).

Non-compliance within the one-week time frame or being unable to travel to Thailand during the proposed period will result in the prize being forfeited and an alternate runner-up invited.

The six verified winners will receive a return airfare (home country to Bangkok, Phuket to home country) and enjoy an exclusive bespoke five-day/four-night trip that explores Phang Nga and Phuket provinces in Southern Thailand.

Trip dates are 29 March to 2 April, with winners arriving in Bangkok on 28 March and departing from Phuket on 3 April.

All six winner and three runners-up were voted by a panel of judges and the TAT Newsroom Team, supported by colleagues from the TAT’s International PR Division Team. All entrants in the popular vote category failed to receive the minimum number of 5,000 votes required for eligibility.

The TAT Newsroom Blogger Thailand competition is now in its fourth year, and it continues to grow and attract interest from travel and lifestyle bloggers from the world over. The TAT Newsroom Team recognised the utmost importance to all involved to make sure our selection criteria and voting process was as transparent as possible to ensure all applicants were judged fairly.
