Bangkok, 20 October, 2015 – Royal Phuket Marina will host three international exhibitions over 11 weeks, bringing more than 10,000 visitors to Phuket between October and January. And over 2016, the venue expects to have on average one large scale trade or consumer exhibition each month.

To be held 23 – 25 October, 2015, the Asia Pacific Cigar, Whisky & Lifestyle Expo (APCWL) is a first for Asia. Organised by Hathor Investment Group – an investment management company focused on hospitality and aspirational lifestyle products and services headquartered in Hong Kong – the APCWL Lifestyle Expo will showcase the largest range of cigars, whisky and luxury lifestyle consumables ever seen in the region. Running concurrently with the exhibition will be a conference programme and social activities along Royal Phuket Marina’s Boardwalk.

Following just one month later is Food and Hotelex, a B2B and B2C exhibition, which will showcase hospitality products and services from 19 to 22 November, 2015, in Royal Phuket Marina’s Exhibition Hall. Organised by Expolink Global Network Limited, the event will include visiting master chefs, wine tasting a bartender competition and much more.

Inaugural events both, the organisers chose Royal Phuket Marina’s 2,500 sqm waterfront air-conditioned Exhibition Hall for its size, convenient location just 20 minutes from Phuket International Airport, and ample parking onsite.

The third exhibition to take place at Royal Phuket Marina is the Phuket International Boat Show (PIMEX) which will be held 7 to 10 January, 2016. Asia’s premier boat show, PIMEX regularly attracts over 5,000 visitors from more than 30 countries around the world.

Mr. Gulu Lalvani, Chairman of Royal Phuket Marina said, “At Royal Phuket Marina we have created the perfect location for exhibitions, trade shows and consumer events. The RPM International Exhibition & Conference Centre includes the largest Exhibition Hall on the island, the iconic Town Square, which has hosted gala dinners, concerts, luxury product launches, weddings and many more high-end events, as well as six F&B outlets that can cater to events of all sizes.”

Adding to Royal Phuket Marina’s proposition as a MICE destination is the Group’s five billion Baht five-year investment plan that will see the addition of two resort properties totalling more than 600 rooms, 160 serviced apartments at La Reserve condominium, the RPM Children’s Zone and expansion of the marina facilities.

“Our five-year investment plan will see expansion of our facilities across the board. Two new resorts will add more than 600 rooms which, alongside the serviced apartments in La Reserve condominium, will make Royal Phuket Marina even more attractive to event organisers and the destination of choice for events and exhibitions of all sizes,” added Mr. Lalvani.

The RPM International Exhibition & Conference Centre comprises a 2,500 sqm (26,900 sq. feet) customisable Exhibition Hall and 3,400 sqm (36,600 sq. feet) of outdoor space including the Town Square and Boardwalk. These are complemented by six food and beverage outlets that can cater to groups of all sizes.

Royal Phuket Marina has been the event destination of choice for Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, Calvin Klein, Tourism Authority of Thailand, TOT Public Company Limited, Coca-Cola, Porsche, Bentley, Jaguar, Range Rover, American Chamber of Commerce and many more international and domestic brands and organisations.
