Thailand’s islands, hotels, and wellness resorts are recognised among the world’s best by readers of Condé Nast Traveler US and Condé Nast Traveller UK

Bangkok, 14 October 2025 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) proudly announces Thailand’s outstanding achievements in the 2025 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards, with accolades from both the US and UK editions. The results highlight Thailand’s global appeal and enduring excellence, as the kingdom’s islands, hotels, and wellness resorts continue to earn recognition from travellers across continents.

The Condé Nast Traveler US edition led this year’s global recognition for Thailand, spotlighting the kingdom’s remarkable diversity of destinations. Four Thai islands – Ko Lanta (No. 5), Ko Chang (No. 6), Phuket (No. 8), and Ko Samui (No. 9) – were listed among the Best Islands in Asia. In the Best Hotels in Southeast Asia category, Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok was ranked No. 1, followed by The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok (No. 3), Capella Bangkok (No. 6), Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok (No. 7), and The Sukhothai Bangkok (No. 12). Thailand also excelled in the Best Destination Spas in the World list, with Kamalaya Koh Samui (No. 2), Chiva-Som Hua Hin (No. 7), Rakxa Integrative Wellness, Bangkok (No. 8), RXV Wellness Village, Nakhon Pathom (No. 11), and Absolute Sanctuary, Koh Samui (No. 20) among the top 20 globally.

Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Governor, said, “These remarkable results from both the US and UK editions of Condé Nast Traveler reflect Thailand’s trusted reputation for world-class hospitality, authentic experiences, and holistic wellbeing. Such recognition by international travellers reaffirms Thailand’s position as a leading global destination, where the spirit of hospitality continues to inspire memorable journeys.”

The Condé Nast Traveler US Readers’ Choice Awards honour the best in travel worldwide, based on votes from hundreds of thousands of readers each year. With a global audience exceeding 7.5 million monthly visitors and a high domain authority, the awards remain among the most respected indicators of traveller satisfaction and destination excellence.

Thailand’s dual recognition from the US and UK editions underscores the kingdom’s global standing as a destination that seamlessly blends luxury, culture, and wellbeing – admired by travellers on both sides of the Atlantic.
