TAT welcomed Riyadh Air’s inaugural Riyadh–Bangkok service on 3 September 2026, adding direct capacity from Saudi Arabia to Thailand. The new Boeing 787-9 route operates three weekly flights before increasing to daily service in October, supporting high-value travel demand from Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East market for Thailand.

Thailand’s new visa framework takes effect on 15 September 2026, replacing the 60-day visa exemption with 30-day and 15-day categories. The rules cover 60 countries and territories for 30-day stays, Seychelles and Mauritius for 15 days, and Visa on Arrival eligibility for Azerbaijan, Belarus and Serbia under the updated framework.
