Bangkok, 14 February, 2020 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) would like to reiterate that Thailand’s public and private sectors nationwide have been implementing strict health surveillance and preventive measures as part of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) prevention.
“Krabi We Care” is the latest initiative under the COVID-19 preventive effort launched by Krabi’s public and private sectors to assure local and international visitors that Thailand is open for tourism and travel activities as usual.
The project is aimed at providing recommendations on the COVID-19 prevention and promoting strict hygiene measures, both for the general public and operators of tourism-related establishments and services. It reiterated the importance for Krabi’s public and private sectors to be good hosts while exercising the utmost efforts to reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection.
Krabi’s tourism activities are set to take place as usual, including the “Krabi RT – We Are Krabi” website project under the “Krabi Premium” marketing concept launched last year. The Krabi RT itself aims to promote responsible tourism while encouraging the exchange of ideas between the locals, tourists and tourism operators on how to promote the concept both locally and to domestic and international tourists.
Other notable events of Krabi will take place as scheduled, including Krabi Naga Fest 2020, from 28 February – 1 March, and Krabi Half Marathon 2020 on 10 May.
