State Railway of Thailand extends suspension of 121 train services until further notice

A total of 115 train services still remain in operation.

Bangkok, 31 May, 2021 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) would like to provide the following updates from the State Railway of Thailand (SRT).

SRT Governor, Mr. Nirut Maneephan, announced on the SRT PR Facebook page (mostly in Thai language) that the most recent suspension of its 121 train services, which expires today (31 May, 2021) would be extended until further notice.

This is in compliance with the two-month extension of the Emergency Decree nationwide from 1 June – 31 July, 2021.

However, Mr. Nirut said that the SRT recognised the need to provide convenience to the public, so the suspended train services were mostly on less busy rail lines.

The SRT is still operating 115 train services on all routes. For more information, call the SRT Hotline 1690 (24/7) or Facebook: pr.railway.
