Bangkok, 28 November 2025 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) announces the release of The MICHELIN Guide Thailand 2026, highlighting a landmark year for the kingdom’s dining scene with new star promotions, exceptional culinary talent, and expanded sustainability recognition. The 2026 edition features 468 restaurants across the country, reaffirming Thailand’s position as one of Asia’s most dynamic gastronomic destinations.

Each promotion, new entry, and sustainability recognition highlights Thailand’s commitment to creativity, quality, and responsible gastronomy. As TAT advances the Value over Volume direction, culinary excellence will continue to be a powerful driver in attracting high-value international travellers.”

The latest edition marks a major milestone with Sühring promoted to Three MICHELIN Stars, becoming Thailand’s second restaurant to receive the Guide’s highest distinction. The Two MICHELIN Stars category expands with Anne-Sophie Pic at Le Normandie and INDDEE, both elevated from One Star. The One MICHELIN Star list sees seven new entries, including newcomers Bo.lan, Cannubi by Umberto Bombana, and etcha, as well as four restaurants promoted from MICHELIN Selected: Gaggan, Juksunchae, Nusara, and Sushi Saito. Meanwhile, GOAT earns a MICHELIN Green Star, bringing Thailand’s total to five sustainability-recognised establishments.

The 2026 edition also introduces a new Special Award category for Thailand: the MICHELIN Guide Mentor Chef Award, honouring chefs dedicated to developing future talent. David Thompson, Owner-Chef of Aksorn (One MICHELIN Star) and Chop Chop Cook Shop (MICHELIN Selected), receives the inaugural recognition.
Additional Special Awards celebrate excellence in service, innovation, and emerging talent. These include the MICHELIN Guide Young Chef Award, presented by Blancpain, awarded to Suwijak Kunghae, Owner-Chef of Royd (MICHELIN Selected); the MICHELIN Guide Opening of the Year Award, presented by UOB, awarded to Wilfrid Hocquet, Owner-Chef of Margo; and the MICHELIN Guide Service Award, presented by TAT, awarded to Arsen Brahaj, Restaurant Manager at Aulis, a One MICHELIN Star restaurant in Phang-Nga.
With 2 Three MICHELIN Stars, 8 Two MICHELIN Stars, 33 One MICHELIN Stars, 5 MICHELIN Green Stars, 137 Bib Gourmand, and 288 MICHELIN Selected restaurants, The MICHELIN Guide Thailand 2026 underscores Thailand’s continued rise as a leading global culinary destination.
