Thailand Travel Mart 2017 welcomes delegates with Lanna charm and Mekong culture

Chiang Mai, 14 June, 2017 – Buyers, sellers, tourism VIPs and members of the press were treated to an extravaganza of Lanna and Mekong culture at the Welcome Reception for the Thailand Travel Mart Plus Amazing Gateway to the Greater Mekong Subregion (TTM+) 2017.

Chiang Mai International Exhibition and Convention Centre (CMECC) became a Lanna playground where visitors were able to enjoy a northern banquet with tasty local treats. They were then able to sit back and enjoy a series of elaborate classical dances and performances from artistes who represented several Mekong Nations.

Mrs. Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul, Minister of Tourism and Sports of Thailand, and Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand welcomed VIP guests, delegates, sellers, buyers and members of the media to TTM+ 2017.

Gallery 2: Visitors were able to see a wide range of cultural displays, dances and performances that reflected the rich Lanna culture of Chiang Mai and other Mekong Nations. They could also enjoy massages and see arts and crafts being created, as well as a wide variety of local food.
