The 18th of February 2015 was a day of great celebration at Bangkok’s China Cultural Centre, where senior officials from both Thailand and the People’s Republic of China gathered to extend Chinese New Year greetings and enjoy a vibrant cultural display.
China and Thailand have forged a close diplomatic relationship over the last 40 years, and for 11 years the Tourism Authority of Thailand has been collaborating with the Chinese Ministry of Culture; these close ties have led to the founding of the China Cultural Centre, which played host to the celebrations that launched the Year of the Goat.
