Bangkok, 23 February, 2015: The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is helping to promote the upcoming charity concert organised by the Rotary Club of Bangkok, to be held on 27 February, to raise money for the expansion of the Rotary-sponsored school in Nong Phlup, Prachuap Khiri Khan province.
The “Happiness all Around” fund-raising event, scheduled to be held at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok Hotel, offers an evening of entertainment from well-known musicians and entertainers who are generously donating their time and talent for a worthy cause. Surprises are planned over the course of the evening which will blend a mix of musical genres with fun, food, and refreshments.
Among the big names lending their talents to the event are Miss Thailand World 2014, Ms. Maeya Nonthawan Thongleng, who will be singing some popular tracks; the Bangkok Charity Orchestra (BCO), performing a menu of musical pieces under the guidance of renowned local conductor, Mr. Chulayuth Lochotinan; His Excellency Mikael Hemniti Winther, Danish Ambassador to Thailand who is a talented blues guitarist; French jazz pianists, Mr. Frank Herrgcott and local favourite, Mr. Alexander Paufler, former CEO of Mercedes Benz Thailand; Mr. Phitchaya Muangsukham; Mr. Keithen Carter; Mr. Sarute Wijitwechakarn, and many other acts will also be generously contributing their talent and time to help raise money for this important cause.
The aim of the evening is to raise funds for a Smart Learning Centre and four new classrooms for local students in a new building at the Rotary Club of Bangkok’s school in Prachuap Khiri Khan.
Mr. Thawatchai Arunyik, the Governor of TAT said, “We are proud to lend our support to this important event, which benefits the children of one of Thailand’s most popular provinces for international tourists. We believe firmly that tourism should make a direct contribution to the local communities who play host to the kingdom’s guests and this fun evening, organised by the Rotary Club of Bangkok is a great example of a partnership that can benefit Thailand. We are happy to help promote “Happiness all Around” knowing participants will have a wonderful evening and that the children of Nong Phlup will benefit.”
The “Happiness All Around” event will start with a cocktail buffet and wine at 18.30 hrs. with the musical performances scheduled for 19.30-21.45 hrs. There will be an intermission during which further refreshments will be served.
