Capture the romancing moments and shift your love life in Thailand

Bangkok, 24 February, 2016 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has extended the submission dateline for the “Shift Your Love” online contest activity until 10 March, 2016.

Couples and honeymooners are invited to show how their spirit of love is elevated while travelling in Thailand by posting on their Instagram accounts with hashtags: #RomanticThailand, #AmazingThailand, and #LandofRelationSHIFT.

Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, TAT Governor said, “The activity is a part of the TAT’s broader marketing strategy to promoting Thailand as a wedding and honeymoon destination. Our many activities on this strategy have included the ‘Amazing Romance in Thailand’ campaign held annually during the month of February at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport to specially extend a warm welcome to couples and honeymooners who have chosen Thailand to celebrate their unions.”

As part of the ‘Amazing Romance in Thailand’ campaign, the ‘Shift Your Love’ online contest activity was kicked off on 13-14 February, 2016, at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport. Honeymooners and couple travellers were invited to join the romantic activities by having their pictures taken at special photo booths set up in both the arrival and departure halls.

Upon registration, couple will receive a souvenir and will be automatically enrolled in the lucky draw for a range of special privileges; such as, an accommodation package for a stay at Sri Panwa Phuket, and discount coupons for restaurants, hotels, resorts and spas in Thailand.

Currently, more than 400 couples have registered to join the activity; with 50 per cent being Indian travellers, 30 per cent Chinese, and 20 per cent from European countries; such as, Germany, Turkey, the Netherlands, and the UK.

The winners will be announced on the TAT’s official website via tourismthailand.org/romanticthailand and [email protected] on 15 March, 2016.
