Bangkok, 9 May, 2017 – The Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA) is launching the Thailand Gems and Jewelry Fair 2017, which will be held in Bangkok from 15-18 June. The event will enjoy strong support from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.

The Thailand Gems & Jewelry Fair 2017 will be the first mid-year international jewellery fair where more than 600 exhibitors from 30 gems and jewellery-exporting countries, including Thailand, will showcase their precious gemstone and jewellery products. They will meet with more than 30,000 visitors from 125 countries who come to source a range quality coloured stones, finished gems and jewellery products from this region.
At the fair, there will be a special exhibition zone which will feature the “4 Districts of Gems and Jewellery” to showcase landmarks in Bangkok which are the shopping destinations for different types of gemstones including gems from Mahesak Road, gold from Yaowarat Road, silver from Charoenkrung Road, and the jewellery streets of Khaosan Road, Silom and Surawongse Roads, and Baan Mor area. There is also an “Innovation Pavilion” which will showcase new industry trends and innovations, and highlight Thailand as a world-class hub for gems and jewellery production and shopping destination.
There are also seminars and workshops by experts which will provide a rare platform for business networking across the industry. Fair organisers will provide services such as a free shuttle bus service to and from Bangkok’s major hotels, exclusive VIP areas with snacks and beverages, and free internet access. A cash & carry zone will also be set up to facilitate both exhibitors and buyers in doing businesses.
