Much-anticipated TAT Newsroom travel blog and photo competition returns in its 3rd year

Bangkok, 12 December, 2017 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is delighted to announce that the TAT Newsroom Blogger Thailand competition is returning in its third year, and will be accepting submissions via the website (blog.tatnews.org) from 1 January until 15 February, next year.

The TAT Newsroom Blogger Thailand competition will comprise two components: a Story Blog and a Photo Blog, and the content must be in English only.

Interested bloggers can now start preparing:

  • A blog of between 350-500 words, accompanied by one photo or a video to illustrate the story. The photo should not be larger than 2MB with high quality while the video should be submitted via a link to a video on YouTube.
  • A photo should be saved in JPEG format and should have a resolution of 300 dpi. It should not be larger than 2MB with a width of not more than 2,500 pixels. Photos must have a title (a maximum of 10-15 words) that briefly describes the image and states where in Thailand it was taken.

TAT Newsroom Blogger Thailand competition will be eligible for international bloggers who must have a regularly-updated presence on social media channels and a substantial number of regular followers (at least 10,000). This can include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google Plus, etc. or a personal blog that covers travel, food or culture topics. The Photo Blog entry is open for Instagramers only.

This year, six bloggers will again be selected by both a panel of judges and number of public votes. Successful bloggers will receive a return air ticket and an all-expenses-paid trip in Thailand.
