TTM+ 2018 in Pattaya to focus on Luxury and Romance

Bangkok, 01 March, 2018 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has set a new destination of this year’s Thailand Travel Mart Plus Amazing Gateway to the Greater Mekong Subregion (TTM+) 2018 to be held in Pattaya under the theme of “Million Shades of Romance”, which will be held between 13-15 June, 2018, at the Ocean Marina Yacht Club.

Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, TAT Governor, said, “Thailand offers a wide array of attractions for luxurious and romantic travel. It features a rich culture and history, wonderful nature, pristine beaches, fantastic cuisine, a full range of tourism-related amenities and accommodation with experienced and innovative service personnel, and most importantly, the hospitality of the Thai people.

“All these factors come together to make Thailand such a great destination to personalise and fulfill a couple’s dream romance destination.”

With Pattaya’s knack for adding new activities and attractions, and reinventing or modernising existing ones, the destination is a fine example of the concept behind the TAT’s latest communication concept of Amazing Thailand’s ‘Open to the New Shades’. The concept encourages tourists to explore the many different facets of Thailand; such as, gastronomy tourism, arts and crafts, culture and unique ways of life, by discovering new attractions for the first time and rediscovering existing attractions from a new perspective.

This year’s edition of the country’s biggest annual B2B trade show will mark a return to this spectacular beach resort since 2001 when the event was held for the first time outside Bangkok and expanded to include the Greater Mekong Subregion countries.

It is also in line with the strategy to shift Thailand’s tourism industry away from mass markets to niche markets, especially high-spending, long-staying travellers.

Pre and post tours will focus on Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat provinces and the neighbouring GMS country of Cambodia, which borders Trat province and is easily accessible by both road and sea.

Buyers and sellers are invited to register for the event online from 01 March until 10 April, 2018, at http://www.thailandtravelmartplus.com

TAT is projecting attendance by 300 quality international buyers from over 60 countries and 300 quality sellers. Preference will be given to buyers specialising in Luxury, Honeymoon, Weddings and Romantic holidays.
