Bangkok named Best City 2020 by DestinAsian’s Readers
Bangkok, 11 February, 2020 – Bangkok was named the “Best City” in Asia by readers of DestinAsian, a travel and lifestyle magazine in the Asia-Pacific region.
This is the 15th annual DestinAsian Reader’s Choice Awards, and Bangkok took the top spot in the city category. In 2018, Bangkok was also voted with the same honour by readers of DestinAsian magazine for the third consecutive year.
This year, another two Thai destinations, Phuket and Ko Samui, were also popular with DestinAsian readers, taking the second and third place in the ‘Best Islands’ category, respectively.
The awards for Thailand were received by Mrs. Patsalin Swetarat, Director of the TAT Singapore Office (above photo) at the Award’s ceremony on 7 February, 2020, in Singapore.
The annual DestinAsian’s Readers’ Choice Awards looks at the top destinations, spas, cities and islands in the Asia-Pacific region. Over 9,000 readers participated in the poll in the magazine’s August/September 2019 edition as well as via its website.
