Bangkok, 14 December, 2020 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is delighted to announce that Thai Smile Airways recently launched its latest route addition connecting Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport with Loei in Thailand’s Northeast region.
The airline is operating one flight a day on the Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi – Loei route.
The new route is expected to expand the domestic tourist potential during the current cool season when Thais flock to enjoy Loei’s abundant natural attractions, including its popular Phu Kradueng National Park and the relaxed and lovely town of Chiang Khan on the Mekong’s Thai bank.
Other attractions include Huai Krathing Reservoir surrounded by often misty hills and orchards, the natural wonders of Phu Ho, which resembles Japan’s more famous Mount Fuji, Tai Dam Village in Chiang Khan, and Kaeng Khut Khu in Loei’s far north alongside the mighty Mekong, to name but a few.
Thai dignitaries on hand for the launch flight included Mr. Arkom Termpittayapaisit, Minister of Finance and Mrs. Pantip Sripimol, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Finance. Also present were Mr. Chaithawat Niemsiri, Loei Provincial Governor; Mr. Yuthasak Suapasorn, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand; Mr. Piyasvasti Amranand, Thai Airways International, and Charita Leelayudth, Chief Executive of Thai Smile Airways; as well as officials and figures from the public and private sector.
