Thailand’s culinary excellence shines at World Culinary Awards 2023

Two restaurants voted World’s Best titles including one with double awards while the kingdom itself, the Thai capital, two other restaurants and a culinary training school received Asia’s Best awards.

Bangkok, 17 October 2023 – Thailand’s culinary excellence is further shined at the World Culinary Awards 2023 presentation ceremony in Dubai where Thailand was named Asia’s Best Culinary Destination 2023 and Bangkok was voted as Asia’s Best Culinary City along with World’s and Asia’s Best titles for restaurants and a culinary training institute.

Sirocco was voted the World’s Best Rooftop Restaurant 2023 and Mezzaluna named as World’s Best Fine Dining Hotel Restaurant 2023. Both restaurants are located at lebua at State Tower.

Mezzaluna was also named Asia’s Best Fine Dining Hotel Restaurant 2023 and Chef’s Table – also located at lebua at State Tower – was voted Asia’s Best Landmark Restaurant 2023.

Another restaurant, Vilas was recognised as Asia’s Best New Restaurant 2023.

Meanwhile, The Food School Bangkok has secured the title of Asia’s Best Culinary Training Institution 2023.

The awards join an impressive list of prestigious titles Thailand, Thai cities and Thai establishments have been honoured over the years. The recognitions on the culinary front help to promote further awareness of Thailand as an international culinary gastronomic destination.

2023 marks the fourth edition of the World Culinary Awards with the results follow a year-long search for the world’s leading culinary brands. Votes were cast by culinary industry professionals and the public, with the nominee gaining the most votes in a category named as the winner.
