Bangkok, 26 August 2026 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) partnered with TikTok Thailand for “TikTok LIVE Community Fest 2026” in Bangkok on 25 August, bringing more than 300 LIVE creators from Southeast Asia, the Caucasus and Central Asia to Song Wat for a Team Rally that transformed encounters with the historic riverside neighbourhood into content for followers across their markets, before the programme concluded with the Victory Celebration Gala at TRUE ICON HALL, ICONSIAM.

Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Governor, said, “Through our partnership with TikTok Thailand, TAT is putting Creator-Powered Tourism into action by connecting authentic experiences in Thailand with audiences around the world. Travel decisions increasingly begin with what people watch, trust and share online. When creators experience Thailand first-hand and tell those stories through their own perspectives, they can turn discovery into inspiration and inspiration into a desire to travel, while bringing our culture, food, communities and contemporary way of life closer to their followers.”

Held under the theme “Be Part of the Win”, TikTok LIVE Community Fest 2026 celebrated creator achievement and the communities behind their growth. During the Team Rally, creators from Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, and markets across the Caucasus and Central Asia explored Song Wat’s history, architecture, riverside heritage and local food. Their experiences included tuk-tuk journeys through the century-old trading neighbourhood and visits to long-established shophouses and local businesses, providing material for creator-led content based on what they experienced on location.

By turning real-time experiences into creator-led content, the activity was designed to move audiences from discovery to inspiration and ultimately towards travel consideration.

Creator teams also competed for Thailand travel packages worth more than 300,000 Baht in total, with the winners announced during the Victory Celebration Gala at TRUE ICON HALL, ICONSIAM. The gala featured a Meet & Greet connecting creators with fans through interactive activities, the presentation of five regional TikTok LIVE Community Fest 2026 awards, and performances by artists, actors and LIVE creators.

The TAT-TikTok partnership reinforces Creator-Powered Tourism as a direct link between first-hand destination experiences and future travel. By enabling creators to share Thailand through perspectives trusted by their own communities, TAT is extending destination stories into relevant international markets, strengthening engagement and turning digital discovery into travel intent.
