Bangkok, 18 September 2026 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) hosted the “Amazing Thailand Innovation Gadget & Travel Tech Networking” event to connect Thai travel tech startups with tourism businesses, public-sector agencies and potential partners. It marked the official launch of Amazing Thailand Innovation Gadget, a new platform designed to bring tourism innovation into practical use across the visitor journey.

Unveiled through a 3D hologram presentation Ms. Nattaphan Threedacha, TAT Executive Director for Tourism Investment Promotion, and Dr. Krithpaka Boonfueng, Executive Director of the National Innovation Agency (NIA), it underscored the collaboration between tourism and innovation agencies to create pathways for Thai travel technology to reach businesses, travellers and wider market opportunities.

Ms. Nattaphan said, “Travel technology has its greatest value when innovation moves beyond the screen and becomes part of the actual travel experience. Through Amazing Thailand Innovation Gadget, TAT creates a bridge between Thai startups’ ideas and the changing needs of travellers and businesses, turning those ideas into real-world solutions. By creating more opportunities for innovation to be tested, adopted and developed in the tourism sector, we can open new possibilities for both travellers and Thai entrepreneurs.”

Amazing Thailand Innovation Gadget brings together information on tourism technologies and solutions while providing entrepreneurs a channel to connect their innovations with potential users and business partners. It builds on TAT’s ongoing TAT Travel Tech Startup programme, extending support from startup development towards practical adoption and commercial application within Thailand’s tourism industry.

The programme also featured a TECH VIBE session, “When Collaboration is the New Competitiveness”, examining how partnerships can create new business opportunities as technology reshapes competition and consumer behaviour.

A Travel Tech Networking session brought together more than 100 participants from startups, government agencies and private-sector organisations to explore potential partnerships, business applications and opportunities to bring tourism technologies into wider use.
