Hong Kong, 18 November, 2015 – Four Thai spas picked up top honours at the 11th annual AsiaSpa Awards held here on 10 November, 2015, including the “Spa of the Year” award in the Southeast Asia and Pacific region. The four awards helped Thailand tie with China in terms of the top award winners by country.
Positioned as Hong Kong’s most anticipated spa and wellness event of the year, the 11th AsiaSpa Awards are organised by the AsiaSpa magazine, a luxury lifestyle and travel publication. The event was held under the theme of ‘Oriental Harmony’.
A panel of 23 expert judges selected the Awards in 24 categories. They included spas, hotels and resorts, retreats, academies, personalities and products recognised for their outstanding achievement at the highest of luxury standards, ecological awareness and technical innovation.
The four Thai winners were:
- Spa of the Year (Southeast Asia and the Pacific) – Kamalaya Wellness Sanctuary and Holistic Spa, Ko Samui, Thailand.
- Day Spa of the Year – TRIA Signature, Bangkok, Thailand.
- Men’s Spa of the Year – Elemis Spa Bangkok, The St. Regis Bangkok, Thailand.
- Medi-Spa of the Year – Dii Wellness Med Spa, Bangkok, Thailand.
Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand said, “TAT would like to congratulate all the award winners for their hard work and commitment to excellence, which brings recognition both for them and Thailand. These are exactly the kind of high standards, which is helping to attract high-spending visitors to Thailand and positively raising our profile and brand image.”
