Amara Bangkok certified 2018 MICE venue standard

Bangkok, 12 May, 2018 – Amara Bangkok was recently awarded the Thailand MICE Venue Standard Certificate 2018 for its meeting facilities that meet internationally recognised standards.

Mr. Patrick Eger, the hotel’s Director of Sales, received the Thailand MICE Venue Standard certificate from Thailand’s Minister of Tourism and Sports, Mr. Weerasak Kowsurat, at the award ceremony held in Bangkok on 27 April.

Amara Bangkok’s meeting and event facilities include the Grand Ballroom Tanjong Pagar I and II, and two function rooms. Its Executive Club Lounge was designed with business travellers in mind.

Located in Silom district, the hotel has 250 rooms, four f&b outlets – Element all-day dinning, AkaAza rooftop nightspot, The Bar and Barista. Other facilities are the sky gym and sky pool.

The Thailand MICE Venue Standard was initiated by the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau in 2013 to recognise the country’s excellent meeting and exhibition venues. The standard is now used as a framework adopted by other ASEAN nations to develop a common practice across the region.
