Thailand suspends TM6 form at Sadao Immigration Checkpoint

For incoming and outgoing travellers passing through from 1 November 2023 to 30 April 2024.

Bangkok, 2 November 2023 – Thailand is temporarily suspending the need to fill out the ‘To Mo 6’ (TM6) immigration form for travellers entering and exiting Thailand at the Sadao Immigration Checkpoint in Songkhla starting from 1 November 2023 until 30 April 2024.

The stimulus policy is to facilitate Malaysian tourists to Thailand during this high season. It is to ease immigration procedures at the Sadao Immigration Checkpoint, which recorded about 100,000 Malaysian visitor arrivals each month this year.

Malaysian tourists represented the highest number of foreign visitors to Thailand.

From 1 January to 31 October, this year, Thailand recorded 3,342,819 Malaysian visitors. Their average trip expenditure is estimated at 16,588 Baht per person.

The temporary suspension of the TM6 form is part of the Thai government’s quick-win policy to boost tourism through ‘ease of travelling’ measures. Other measures have included the temporary visa exemption schemes for tourists from China, India, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Taiwan.
